Veteran BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, stating that the state’s law and order situation has deteriorated significantly. Naqvi expressed certainty about Banerjee’s exit from power, highlighting concerns over the governance climate.
Naqvi pointed out recent incidents targeting judicial officials in Malda as evidence of the worsening law and order scenario in West Bengal. He criticized the state government for its failure to address these issues effectively, emphasizing the need for urgent corrective measures.
Accusing the Trinamool Congress-led government of weakening constitutional institutions, Naqvi described the current situation in West Bengal as deeply unfortunate. He stressed the importance of accountability in governance and urged Banerjee to provide a comprehensive report card on her tenure.
Naqvi criticized the politicization of central agencies like the Enforcement Directorate and the CBI for electoral gains, calling it a misguided strategy. He also condemned the exploitation of religious sentiments for political purposes, urging leaders to refrain from divisive rhetoric and focus on genuine empowerment.
Praising the Union government’s crisis response and welfare measures, Naqvi commended its development-focused approach. He warned against attempts to create societal divisions for political gain, emphasizing the importance of inclusive governance and policy initiatives.
