Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra have labeled recent incidents of alleged religious conversion at TCS Nashik and sexual exploitation of minors in Amravati as a “conspiracy” and a “racket.” The BJP leaders are advocating for severe punishment for the accused individuals involved in these cases.
In Amravati, a man named Mohammad Ayaz was arrested for allegedly sexually exploiting over 180 minor girls and creating more than 350 obscene videos, sparking strong reactions from the political leaders. Maharashtra Minister Pankaja Munde mentioned that the Home Ministry will investigate the matter.
BJP leader Kirit Somaiya highlighted what he described as a conspiracy orchestrated by Muslim fanaticism, terrorism, mafia, and Bangladeshis, linking it to the incidents in Nashik and Amravati. He emphasized the need for immediate formation of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to address the situation and ensure justice for the victims.
BJP MLA Devayani Pharande echoed similar sentiments, referring to these incidents as part of a larger “racket” targeting women, including cases of religious conversion in IT companies. She stressed the importance of imposing strict penalties on the perpetrators and commended the Maharashtra government’s efforts in addressing the issue.
Maharashtra Minority Commission Chairman Pyare Khan shared details of a complaint he received regarding the exploitation of Muslim women in Achalpur, emphasizing the ongoing actions being taken by the authorities to address the sensitive situation. Khan assured that strict measures would be implemented against those found guilty of such offenses.
According to a memorandum submitted by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Anil Bonde, the accused in the Amravati case allegedly targeted minors through social media platforms like WhatsApp and Snapchat. Following police intervention, the accused was taken into custody and is currently under investigation, with his mobile phone containing objectionable videos seized for further examination.
