After the tragic killing of Chandranath Rath, Personal Assistant to Suvendu Adhikari, Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi expressed confidence in the eventual capture of the perpetrator, emphasizing that justice will prevail even for those hiding in the underworld. Saraogi highlighted the shift in power from Trinamool Congress to Bharatiya Janata Party, assuring that no one will escape accountability.
Dilip Ghosh, the newly elected BJP legislator from Kharagpur Sadar, expressed dismay over the violence and use of firearms despite expectations of peaceful elections. Ghosh urged the police to take decisive action against such incidents to maintain law and order effectively.
N. Ramchander Rao, BJP Telangana President, condemned the attack on Suvendu Adhikari’s PA as a display of political intolerance by the Trinamool Congress. Rao criticized the party for its history of violence and disregard for constitutional values, pointing out the alliance between Trinamool Congress and Congress in light of BJP’s electoral success.
The Trinamool Congress denounced the killing of Chandranath Rath and called for a court-monitored CBI investigation into the incident. Rath was fatally shot while returning home from a party event in the North 24 Parganas district, sustaining severe gunshot wounds. Another individual in the vehicle, Buddhadeb Bera, also suffered gunshot injuries and is currently in critical condition at Viva City Hospital.
