An altercation between a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and a Congress MLC nearly turned physical during an official meeting in Bidar, Karnataka. The incident, which involved heated exchanges and challenges to authority, occurred in the presence of state Ministers and senior district officials.
The confrontation unfolded at a Karnataka Development Programme (KDP) review meeting in Bidar’s District Panchayat office. BJP MLA Siddu Patil and Congress MLC Bhimrao Patil clashed over the alleged encroachment of forest land, leading to a tense situation that required intervention from Minister Eshwar Khandre and police officers.
Following the heated exchange, Minister Khandre held separate discussions with the two leaders and postponed the KDP meeting. The clash, captured in viral videos on social media, highlighted the escalating tensions between the two legislators over the land acquisition issue.
