BJP MP Nishikant Dubey raised concerns about a “dark chapter of Congress” in 1957, alleging that India was controlled by the US and Russia. He pointed to Kerala’s first Communist government formation on April 5, 1957, under EMS Namboodiripad’s leadership. Dubey accused Nehru and Indira Gandhi of collaborating with the US and CIA to destabilize the state government during Soviet outreach.

Dubey claimed that Namboodiripad sought Soviet assistance for India and accused the US and CIA of aiding Congress to overthrow the Communist government. He stated that India became a battleground for Cold War powers, with both superpowers influencing domestic affairs. Dubey presented documents suggesting US support for Congress to counter the Communist Party’s rise in Kerala.
