Hours after the Congress party’s protest near Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence regarding NEET leaks and police actions in Delhi, the BJP staged a demonstration at the Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Bhopal. The BJP accused Rahul Gandhi and the Opposition of inciting disorder in the nation.
Madhya Pradesh BJP president Hemant Khandelwal led the protest in response to the sit-in by Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and other Congress leaders at the Prime Minister’s residence. Khandelwal criticized the Congress for abandoning democratic principles and attempting to disrupt peace following electoral setbacks. He emphasized that the Congress should engage in electoral battles rather than creating unrest.
Khandelwal alleged that the Congress, led by Rahul Gandhi, aimed to sow chaos in the country and discredit the BJP government instead of accepting electoral outcomes. BJP supporters marched to the PCC office in large numbers, chanting slogans against the Congress leadership. Police presence was heightened to ensure order during the protest.
While the BJP intensified its actions, the Congress continued its demonstrations across Madhya Pradesh against police actions on students and comments made by BJP leader Kailash Vijayvargiya. State Congress president Jitu Patwari participated in a student protest in Indore, and Congress members tried to protest outside Vijayvargiya’s residence but were halted by the police, who informed them that the minister was in Bhopal.
Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar accused the BJP government of shielding Vijayvargiya for his alleged derogatory remarks about students, labeling them as ‘anarchists.’ Singhar criticized the lack of action against Vijayvargiya despite video evidence of his comments against students.
