The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) highlighted the Election Commission of India’s trends in West Bengal, showing a significant lead for the BJP with 185 Assembly seats compared to Trinamool Congress’ 91 seats. BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi noted that both exit polls and current trends align, indicating a surge of nationalism in Bengal. He expressed confidence that this momentum would translate into a decisive outcome.
Reacting to the evolving trends, BJP national spokesperson Rohan Gupta emphasized the growing support for the party in West Bengal. He described the trend as not just a wave but a “tsunami,” echoing the sentiments of the people fighting for change and freedom in the state. Gupta thanked the voters for overcoming fear and voting for a new direction, promising to fulfill their aspirations.
Rajiv Jaitley, another BJP spokesperson, viewed the trends as a significant political transformation in Bengal. He suggested that the people’s long wait for change was nearing its end, with the BJP emerging as a strong contender in the state.
