Reacting to comments made by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, BJP State President Madan Rathore criticized Gehlot for allegedly making unfounded and unnecessary statements against the BJP to deflect attention from internal issues within his own party. Rathore emphasized the BJP’s disciplined nature and responsible expression of views by its leaders. He advised Gehlot to consider his party’s leadership uncertainties before commenting on BJP’s internal affairs, highlighting past power struggles during Gehlot’s tenure as Chief Minister.
Rathore also defended senior BJP leader Vasundhara Raje’s leadership, stating her contributions are widely acknowledged within the party. He accused Gehlot of engaging in political opportunism and criticized his remarks questioning India’s global position compared to Pakistan, deeming them inappropriate and detrimental to the nation’s international image. Rathore highlighted the alleged factionalism within the Congress party in Rajasthan, pointing out ongoing internal disputes among senior leaders like Gehlot, Govind Singh Dotasra, Tikaram Jully, and Sachin Pilot, which he claimed contradicts the party’s unity claims.
Furthermore, Rathore asserted that the previous Congress government in Rajasthan focused more on retaining power than governance, with many pre-election promises remaining unfulfilled. He concluded by urging Gehlot to address his party’s internal issues while praising the BJP’s unity and cohesive functioning.
