BJP State President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra emphasized the need for the government to fill vacant positions through internal reservation to provide job opportunities for the youth. He highlighted that the reservation limit has been raised to 56 per cent, urging the government to ensure justice by filling all available posts.
Vijayendra stressed that the government’s responsibility is to address the demands for job opportunities, especially for oppressed and backward communities. He criticized the Chief Minister for allegedly neglecting the welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, urging immediate action to provide employment and justice to these communities.
The state government’s announcement of recruiting over 50,000 positions following protests by job aspirants was noted. Vijayendra warned against proceeding with recruitment under the old reservation system, cautioning that such actions could lead to unrest. He called for justice for backward classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and youth from all societal segments.
Vijayendra announced plans for protests in Bengaluru starting March 6, coinciding with the Assembly session. He highlighted upcoming protests by Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, and guest lecturers over unmet promises. The deteriorating situation, including defunct ambulances, unpaid salaries, and the garbage crisis, was pointed out as reasons for the planned agitations.
