Veteran actress Farida Jalal brought nostalgia to Indian Idol by reenacting a beloved scene from her classic movie, Aradhana. Host Aditya Narayan fondly reminisced about her chemistry with late actor Rajesh Khanna in the iconic film, leaving a smile on everyone’s face. The duo recreated the famous song ‘Gun Guna Rahe Hain Bhanwre’ from the 1969 blockbuster movie Aradhana, where Farida originally starred with Rajesh Khanna.

Farida Jalal, seated on a swing, playfully challenged Aditya to recreate the scene, to which he enthusiastically agreed. The movie Aradhana, directed by Shakti Samanta, featured Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore in lead roles, with Rajesh Khanna in a memorable double role. The film’s music, composed by S. D. Burman, produced timeless hits like “Mere Sapno Ki Rani” and “Roop Tera Mastana,” contributing to its immense success and solidifying Rajesh Khanna’s status as India’s first superstar.
