The BJP has expressed concern over a viral video allegedly showing Punjab Minister Hardeep Mundia threatening a businessman. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu stated that the issue would be taken up with Governor Gulab Chand Kataria. BJP MLA Jangi Lal Mahajan has called for a CBI inquiry into the matter and emphasized the need to ensure the safety of the victim’s family.
Joining the discussion, Union Minister Bittu highlighted similarities between this incident and a previous one involving a former Punjab Minister in Amritsar. He pointed out that while one victim chose suicide, the current businessman is fighting back against the alleged harassment. The BJP and other critics of the Aam Aadmi Party-led state government have shown solidarity with the businessman’s family.
Allegations have been made against Minister Mundia regarding non-payment for a trolley worth Rs 6.5 lakh, with pressure to share business profits instead. The victim also claimed that government agencies have been used to target his business, including threats and attacks on his family. Despite filing complaints, no action has been taken against Minister Mundia, as per the victim.
