The body of a missing Class 11 girl was discovered on the bank of the Usri river in Giridih district, Jharkhand. Identified as Payal Kumari, she hailed from Sirsia and had informed her family about attending tuition classes and stitching training before going missing. Despite efforts to reach her, her family reported her disappearance to the police.
Payal had last communicated with her family, stating she was on her way home from the block office area. However, her phone was later found switched off. Following a search by her family and subsequent police involvement, her body was found near the Usri river. The incident has caused distress in the community, with demands for a thorough investigation and justice.
Authorities have initiated a probe, examining call records and questioning acquaintances of the deceased. The family, devastated by the loss, has urged for a fair inquiry and stringent action against those accountable. Police officials, including Sadar SDPO and officer Vivek Madhuri, are actively investigating the case, considering all possible angles.
