The Regional Passport Office in Jhalana, Jaipur, received a bomb threat via email, warning of an imminent explosion. In response, authorities immediately heightened security measures at the office, conducting a thorough search with the assistance of the Bomb Disposal Squad and Dog Squad. No explosives or suspicious items have been found so far, but security has been further bolstered as a precaution.

A detailed investigation has been launched into the incident, with cyber experts involved in tracing the origin of the threatening email and identifying the sender. The focus of the probe includes technical aspects such as tracking the device and location used to send the threat. Police officials are treating the matter with utmost seriousness, exploring all angles to ensure there is no actual risk.

Earlier in March, a series of bomb threat emails targeting passport offices across Rajasthan led to heightened security measures and evacuations. The threats triggered comprehensive search operations at various government facilities, including the Regional Passport Office in Jaipur and the Passport Seva Kendra in Orbit Mall. No suspicious items were found during the searches, which lasted about an hour.

The situation escalated as similar threats emerged, prompting responses at passport offices in multiple districts. Authorities in Kota and Jhalawar were alerted following information forwarded by CID Intelligence in Jaipur regarding the threats. The police are actively investigating the incidents to ensure the safety and security of the passport offices and their personnel.
