Mario Dorgeles’ last-minute goal sealed a 2-1 win for Braga over Freiburg in their UEFA Europa League semi-final first leg. Braga, reaching their second major European semi-final, previously made it to the 2010/11 Europa League final. Demir Ege Tıknaz and Vincenzo Grifo scored early goals for Braga and Freiburg, respectively.

Vincenzo Grifo’s goal for Freiburg came after only 16 minutes, leveling the score. Despite losing Ricardo Horta to injury in the first half, Braga’s Rodrigo Zalazar was denied a penalty goal by Noah Atubolu. Mario Dorgeles, substituting Horta, secured Braga’s victory with a close-range strike in the 92nd minute.

Braga coach Carlos Vicens praised his team’s resilience and confidence after a challenging match. The game saw both teams showing determination and fighting spirit in the Europa League semi-final.
