The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has finished constructing a 180-foot Bailey Bridge in Arunachal Pradesh’s Kurung Kumey district. This bridge, part of Project Arunank, aims to bolster strategic infrastructure in the region. Despite facing challenges like heavy rainfall and tough terrain, the 85 Road Construction Company and the 756 Border Roads Task Force successfully launched the bridge.
BRO personnel worked tirelessly to overcome logistical and environmental obstacles, ensuring the timely completion of the Triple-Double Reinforced (TDR) Bailey Bridge. This new infrastructure will greatly improve the movement of security forces, military equipment, and essential supplies in the area. Additionally, it will enhance access to services and transportation for residents of remote border villages.
Project Arunank, known for its role in developing strategic road and bridge infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh, is vital for strengthening connectivity in remote regions. The completion of this bridge is expected to provide all-weather connectivity, boost socio-economic development, and enhance India’s defense readiness in challenging environments.
