BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao intends to lead a statewide padayatra in Telangana next year to address public concerns and enhance the party’s organization. Recognizing a gap between the party and the people during its decade in power, efforts will be made to bridge this through direct engagement, including the proposed padayatra.
During an interaction with the media in Mancherial district, KTR expressed confidence in the BRS making a strong comeback in the upcoming elections. He emphasized the party’s decision to contest independently without forming alliances, citing past unsuccessful experiences with alliances and ruling out any partnership with the BJP.
Acknowledging shortcomings during the BRS government’s tenure, KTR admitted to lapses in maintaining effective coordination with grassroots leaders and in formulating a comprehensive Gulf policy despite a significant migrant workforce from north Telangana districts. He also commented on the potential political opportunities arising from the proposed delimitation, highlighting the importance of electoral strategy in fielding candidates with high chances of winning.
Regarding internal party dynamics, KTR dismissed reports of factionalism within the party, emphasizing unity under the leadership of K. Chandrasekhar Rao. He affirmed his commitment to fulfilling any responsibilities assigned to him as a disciplined party worker.
