A tragic incident unfolded in the Barkagaon police station area of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, where unidentified assailants brutally murdered a coal trader and ran over a villager while escaping. The shocking double death has sparked fear and anger among residents of Napo Khurd village, where the gruesome event occurred. The deceased coal trader, Rohit Sahu, a local involved in coal trade, was attacked by a group of unknown individuals who arrived in a white Scorpio SUV late at night.
Eyewitnesses recounted how the assailants viciously assaulted Rohit Sahu with sharp weapons, leading to his immediate death before any help could arrive. The brutal killing caused panic not only among the villagers present but also in the surrounding areas. Following the attack, the culprits fled in the same vehicle, driving recklessly to evade capture and hitting several people on the road in the process. Tragically, one of the individuals hit by the fleeing vehicle, Pradeep Sahu, also from Napo Khurd village, succumbed to his injuries despite immediate medical attention.
The consecutive deaths within a short timeframe have left the village community in shock and anger, prompting demands for swift justice against those responsible.
