Hollywood actor Bryan Cranston, famous for his roles in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Malcolm in the Middle’, revealed that his theatre work often results in financial losses. Despite his extensive stage career since the 1980s, including a recent successful run in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons in London’s West End, Cranston, 70, emphasized the financial difficulties faced by actors in theater. He expressed that the pay is minimal, stating, “There’s no money in it. You actually are losing money by doing theater. That’s how difficult it is for actors who are here in New York just doing theatre. They have to constantly be working.”
Bryan Cranston anticipates the Broadway transfer of ‘All My Sons’ next year, marking his return to the New York stage after his Tony Award-winning performance in ‘Network’ in 2019. Despite his plans for a break in 2026 to enjoy life experiences with his wife Robin Dearden, Cranston’s schedule has remained hectic with his recent commitments in London’s West End. He expressed a desire to slow down and savor more life experiences, emphasizing the need for a balance between work and personal life. Cranston shared his intention to create new experiences and adjust his relationship with the industry to prioritize real-life moments.
While Bryan Cranston values spending time with his wife of 35 years, Robin Dearden, he humorously admitted that shopping together is not on his list of preferred activities. He jokingly mentioned, “Someone said, ‘You don’t go shopping with your wife?’ I go, ‘No! Why would I do that? I don’t like it!’”
