A 36-year-old businessman, Shivam Gupta, was reportedly beaten to death by delivery agents in Connaught Place, Delhi. The incident occurred after he attended a late-night party and was attacked with helmets near My Bar in E Block. Despite fighting for his life for several days, Shivam succumbed to his injuries on January 19 at RML Hospital.
Shivam’s father, Anil Kant Gupta, revealed that his son was assaulted by two youths on motorcycles while his friend, Pankaj Chaddha, was present during the attack. The family, after reviewing CCTV footage, alleged that the attackers waved goodbye to Pankaj after the assault. Pankaj’s inconsistent statements have raised suspicions, leading the family to demand a thorough investigation into his possible involvement.
The family’s concerns about Pankaj’s role in the incident have intensified as Shivam’s mother emphasized the need for questioning him. While the police have arrested two attackers, Osama and Mohammad Areem, the family insists on probing Pankaj for a potential conspiracy behind the tragic incident.
