Three individuals, including two women, tragically lost their lives, and two others sustained severe injuries when a car collided with a stationary dumper on the Mumbai-Goa Highway in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The injured parties are currently receiving medical care at Lanja Rural Hospital. Authorities are conducting an investigation to identify the deceased and notify their families.
The victims, hailing from Mumbai’s Agripada and on a trip to Goa, met with the accident while heading back to Mumbai. The collision with the stationary dumper near Lanja Rest House resulted in a devastating impact, leaving the car severely damaged. Local residents and passing motorists promptly came to the aid of those trapped inside the vehicle.
Following the accident, the police were alerted, and a team promptly arrived at the scene to commence rescue operations. The injured were promptly transferred to Lanja Rural Hospital for treatment, while the deceased were taken into police custody. Legal procedures are in progress, with authorities working to establish the identities of the deceased and contact their families.
