Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka have been named as the top seeds for the Australian Open 2026. Alcaraz leads the men’s singles draw, with Jannik Sinner as the second seed. This seeding ensures that Alcaraz and Sinner can only meet in the final if they continue winning.

In the women’s draw, Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek, and Coco Gauff are the top three seeds. Last year’s finalists, Sabalenka and Swiatek, could potentially face off in the final this year as well. American Amanda Anisimova is the fourth seed, followed by Elena Rybakina and Jessica Pegula.

Novak Djokovic starts his 21st Australian Open campaign as the fourth seed in the men’s draw. Lorenzo Musetti of Italy completes the top five seeds. Madison Keys, the defending champion, returns as the ninth seed in the women’s draw, alongside other top American players.

The women’s draw also includes former champions like Naomi Osaka and notable players such as Emma Raducanu and Sofia Kenin. Additionally, Australian player Maya Joint is the first Australian woman to be seeded since Ash Barty’s victory in 2022.
