The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the release of director Rathna Kumar’s much-anticipated romantic film ’29 The Film’, starring Vidhu and Preethi Asrani, with a ‘U/A’ certificate. Stone Bench Productions announced the film’s release date as May 8, generating high excitement among fans and movie enthusiasts. The recently unveiled video snippet, ‘The World of 29’, has further heightened expectations for the film.
The video showcases a romantic scene between the lead characters, Sathya (Vidhu) and Viji (Preethi Asrani), at a beach setting. Viji expresses her frustration to Sathya for not confessing his love for her despite her subtle hints. Sathya defends himself, explaining that he was searching for a special spot to propose. Eventually, he finds the perfect location by the beach and proposes to Viji, leading to a heartwarming moment between the two characters.
Scheduled for a global release on May 8, ’29 The Film’ concluded its shooting on January 30 this year. Director Rathna Kumar shared the wrap-up news on social media, marking the completion of filming with a celebratory cake cutting ceremony. The movie, produced by G Squad and Stone Bench Productions, boasts a talented cast including Vidhu, Preethi Asrani, Master Mahendran, Avinash, Shenaz Fathima, and Premkumar, among others.
The film, helmed by Rathna Kumar, features music by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Madhesh Manickam, and editing by R S Sathish Kumar. Noteworthy contributions also include art direction by Shanmugaraja, costumes by Praveen Raja, and stunt choreography by Don Ashok.
