Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan highlighted the unique nature of Operation Sindoor, emphasizing its distinctiveness from past conflicts due to its 88 hours of intense coordination. During ‘Sena Se Samvad 2026’, he mentioned the operation’s ongoing status, describing it as a multi-domain operation involving space and cyber technologies.
General Chauhan noted the shift towards non-contact warfare in Operation Sindoor, a departure from traditional conflicts. He emphasized the unprecedented level of coordination required among the Armed Forces, government departments, and various agencies, making it a well-coordinated and different military operation.
In a demonstration of dedication beyond duty, CDS Chauhan shared his efforts in resettling villages in Uttarakhand and his previous service in insurgency-affected areas like Jammu and Kashmir and Manipur. He expressed happiness in reconnecting with the people from these regions, highlighting the importance of human geography in people-centric conflicts.
