Celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, known for ‘Laughter Chefs,’ has stepped into Bollywood with his second movie, “Love You Loktantra,” following his debut in Yash Raj Film’s “Bank Chor.” The film is set to premiere on Doordarshan, where Sokhi plays a bar owner alongside Krushna Abhishek.
In “Love You Loktantra,” Sokhi takes on a small role due to prior commitments and shooting constraints during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite his limited acting experience, he finds joy in portraying characters different from himself, citing his serious role in “Bank Chor” opposite actors like Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi.
Having shared the screen with Krushna Abhishek, Sokhi reminisces about their evolving relationship from their first meeting on set to collaborating on “Laughter Chefs.” He appreciates the magic of acting and the opportunity to explore diverse roles, even if they deviate from his usual comedic persona.
