Celta Vigo and Olympique Lyonnais ended in a 1-1 draw in the Europa League last-16 tie at Balaidos Stadium. Javi Rueda scored for Celta in the 24th minute with an assist from Williot Swedberg. Despite Celta going down to 10 men in the 54th minute, Endrick equalized for Lyon in the 87th minute.

Vicente Taborda’s 88th-minute penalty gave Betis a 1-0 defeat against Panathinaikos in Athens. Panathinaikos played with 10 men for over half an hour after Anass Zaroury was sent off. Diego Llorente’s foul led to the penalty that decided the match.

In another game, Bologna and Roma played to a 1-1 draw. Federico Bernardeschi scored for Bologna in the 50th minute, but Roma equalized through Lorenzo Pellegrini. Despite chances for both teams, the match ended in a draw.
