The Minister of State for Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal, reiterated the Central government’s commitment to assisting the people of Mizoram during a meeting in Mamit district. He highlighted that addressing public grievances and ensuring good governance are top priorities for the Union government. Meghwal praised the role of NGOs and community organizations in promoting social harmony and supporting development efforts in Mizoram.
During the interaction, the Minister engaged with leaders from various civil society groups, including MHIP, YMA, MUP, VC, and MZP, to discuss concerns related to welfare, infrastructure, and governance in Mamit district. Officials like Mamit District Deputy Commissioner Suvigya S. Chandra and Superintendent of Police Manny Bhushan Singh also pledged to address public grievances effectively and in a citizen-friendly manner.
Meghwal’s visit to Mizoram included inspections of the Mamit District Court and District Jail to assess the judicial and prison systems. He reviewed the implementation of initiatives like e-Courts, e-Prison, and Tele-Law, emphasizing the need for transparent and accessible legal services. The Minister underscored the importance of digital governance in ensuring efficient justice delivery, especially in remote areas.
Additionally, the Minister met with BJP officials in Mizoram to discuss organizational expansion and the implementation of government welfare schemes. He commended the party’s dedication to public service under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the importance of service, good governance, and welfare initiatives.
