The first week of the Monsoon Session saw significant disruptions as the Opposition, citing student protests, demanded Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation before engaging in any discussions.
Rijiju, the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, expressed disappointment over the inability to address the NEET exam paper leak in Parliament, urging for immediate discussions. He highlighted the Congress party’s lack of interest in dialogue, emphasizing the need to focus on establishing a robust system to safeguard students’ futures.
Addressing concerns about the proposed Bill targeting exam malpractices, Rijiju stressed the importance of timely action, echoing the Prime Minister’s urgency for its implementation. He cautioned the Opposition against obstructing the Bill, warning that such tactics could backfire and alienate the youth and the nation at large.
