Centuries from Devdutt Padikkal and Karun Nair propelled Karnataka to an eight-wicket win over Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Padikkal and Nair’s partnership of 223 runs secured the victory as Karnataka successfully chased down Kerala’s 284/7. Karnataka, after opting to field, restricted Kerala to 49 for three initially.

Baba Aparajith and Mohammed Azharuddeen played crucial roles in Kerala’s recovery with scores of 71 and 84 respectively. Abhilash Shetty and Shreyas Gopal stood out with bowling performances for Karnataka. Despite losing captain Mayank Agarwal early, Padikkal and Nair guided Karnataka to their second consecutive win.

In another match, Madhya Pradesh edged out Tamil Nadu by two wickets in a tense encounter. B Sai Sudharsan and Narayan Jagadeesan set the tone for Tamil Nadu with a solid opening stand. However, Yash Dubey and Himanshu Mantri’s partnership steered Madhya Pradesh to victory with four balls to spare.

Jharkhand bounced back from their initial loss to Karnataka by defeating Rajasthan by 73 runs. Shikhar Mohan’s century and Anukul Roy’s brisk innings powered Jharkhand to a total of 301. Rajasthan’s efforts fell short despite Karan Lamba’s century.

Tripura secured their first win in the tournament with a seven-wicket victory over Puducherry. Puducherry’s low score of 150 was easily chased down by Tripura, led by Udiyan Bose and Vijay Shankar.
