Singer-songwriter Charlie Puth has been keeping busy with various projects. Recently, he released his fourth album ‘Whatever’s Clever’, following the debut of ‘Changes’ in October, which drew inspiration from Phil Collins. Puth also performed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl and announced the arrival of his first child with wife Brooke just days before the album release.
In the midst of his packed schedule, Puth found time to release additional singles like “Cry” with Kenny G and “Home” featuring Hikaru Utada. According to ‘Variety’, Puth, 34, is making the most of his time, even discussing his album while walking on a treadmill during a Zoom call. This album, described as “yacht rock 2026”, showcases a blend of R&B, city pop, and gospel, reflecting a different creative process for Puth.
Reflecting on his previous albums, Puth shared that he usually had to rush through the creative process due to the pressure of releasing successful singles. However, with ‘Whatever’s Clever’, he had the luxury of time to express his truth authentically, marking a significant shift in his approach to music creation.
