Chennaiyin FC suffered a 2-0 loss to Mohun Bagan Super Giant in their second Indian Super League 2026 match at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata. Head coach Clifford Miranda stuck with the same starting lineup as the previous game, aiming for early-season consistency. The team began with solid defense but conceded a goal just before halftime.
Mohun Bagan took the lead just before the break, leaving Chennaiyin trailing 1-0. Despite efforts to equalize in the second half, Chennaiyin couldn’t find the back of the net. The hosts extended their lead to 2-0 in the 65th minute, securing the victory.
Chennaiyin FC will face Odisha FC in their next match on Sunday, March 1, as they look to bounce back in the Indian Super League.
