Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai recently met with Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta to discuss cooperation and sustainable development between their BJP-ruled states. Chief Minister Gupta highlighted the positive discussions held during the meeting, focusing on enhancing cooperation and various aspects of development. Both leaders emphasized the importance of sustainable development in their states to contribute towards a more developed India.
In a separate event, Chief Minister Gupta participated in the “Monday Metro” initiative, opting for public transport for her commute from home to the office. Expressing her satisfaction with the experience, she commended the public for incorporating public transport into their daily routines, emphasizing the positive impact on reducing traffic, pollution, and fuel consumption. The Chief Minister’s initiative aligns with the “Mera Bharat, Mera Yogdan” campaign, promoting conservation efforts amidst rising fuel prices and environmental concerns.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister’s advocacy for public transport was reinforced by her interactions with fellow passengers during her metro ride. This initiative falls in line with Prime Minister Modi’s recent call for reduced fuel consumption, increased use of public transport, and the adoption of eco-friendly modes of travel, especially in light of global disruptions affecting fuel prices. Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta also joined the “Metro Monday” campaign, emphasizing the significance of eco-friendly transportation methods in daily life.
