The Chhattisgarh Police Department has appointed Nivedita Pal, Commandant of the 6th Battalion, as the Officer-in-Charge of Janjgir-Champa district, replacing Vimal Kumar Bais. This change was made by the Director General of Police to ensure administrative balance and meet departmental needs. The regular Superintendent of Police of Janjgir-Champa, Vijay Pandey, will undergo a 45-day training program at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad starting from April 6.
Manisha Thakur Rawate will oversee Raipur Rural, Trilok Bansal will be in charge of Kondagaon, and Neeraj Chandrakar will manage Gariaband district during this period. Nivedita Pal, an experienced IPS officer, brings her expertise to Janjgir-Champa. These adjustments demonstrate the Chhattisgarh Police’s commitment to balancing training and operational requirements.
The Chhattisgarh Police emphasizes the importance of specialized training at the National Police Academy to enhance leadership skills in modern policing. The recent appointments aim to ensure smooth functioning in the affected districts without any leadership vacuum. The reshuffle is part of routine administrative procedures to strengthen the police force and provide professional growth opportunities for officers.
