Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, speaking at the Madhya Pradesh Startup Summit & Ecosystem Awards 2026, praised India’s historical innovation prowess and the crucial role of startups in advancing the nation’s economy. He lauded the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in promoting research and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the need to recognize the forgotten contributions of Indian scientists like Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose.
Dr. Yadav highlighted Bose’s groundbreaking experiments in the late 19th century, showcasing his discoveries on plant life and sensitivity, as well as his early work on microwaves and semiconductors. He lamented the lack of recognition for these achievements post-Independence due to resource constraints but expressed optimism under PM Modi’s leadership.
The Chief Minister commended the innovative startups showcased at the event, including one developing a cost-effective machine for agricultural purposes. He underscored the transformative impact of such initiatives in addressing environmental and agricultural challenges, envisioning India’s ascent to the top global economy position.
Chief Secretary Anurag Jain lauded Madhya Pradesh’s proactive policies and ecosystem development, positioning the state as a significant player in India’s startup landscape. MSME Minister Chetanya Kahsya highlighted the summit’s role in fostering collaboration among government, entrepreneurs, and investors, driving Madhya Pradesh’s evolution into a thriving startup hub.
