Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary recently unveiled a new four-lane road over the Mandiri drain in Patna, costing Rs 115.08 crore. Named Nabin Kishore Sinha Path, the 1,289-meter stretch connects Income Tax Crossing to Ashok Rajpath and Bans Ghat area, aiming to alleviate traffic congestion.
The inauguration, attended by senior BJP National President Nitin Nabin, honored Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha. The road features a 5.5-meter-wide main carriageway, a 3.5-meter-wide service road, and an advanced RCC box drainage system underneath. It also includes footpaths, street lighting, signage, utility ducts, and landscaping for urban enhancement.
This newly inaugurated corridor is set to ease traffic congestion in crucial areas like Bailey Road, Fraser Road, Buddha Marg, and Gandhi Maidan. Described as a “Smart Urban Corridor” by Municipal Commissioner Yashpal Meena, it integrates mobility with modern drainage infrastructure, offering more than just a road.
The project’s foundation stone was laid in December 2021 during Nitin Nabin’s tenure as Road Construction Minister, coinciding with his recent appointment as BJP National President. Urban Development Minister Nitish Mishra inspected the site before the official inauguration, which also included CM Samrat Choudhary’s visit to a Shiv temple in Khajpura to mark the establishment day of Somnath Temple.
Nitin Nabin paid tribute to Nabin Kishore Prasad Sinha on his 77th birth anniversary at ‘Nabin Sinha Memorial Park’ in Rajvanshi Nagar, emphasizing Sinha’s dedication to public welfare and inspiring commitment to social service that continues to guide his own public life.
