Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the construction sites of Bihar University of Health Sciences and Bihar Engineering University in Mithapur, Patna. He was briefed on the progress by officials from the Science, Technology and Technical Education Department and the Health Department. The universities aim to offer quality technical and medical education in Bihar.
The Chief Minister emphasized the timely completion of the university structures to enhance educational opportunities in the state. He highlighted the educational development in Mithapur, noting the presence of various established institutions in the area. The new universities are expected to further strengthen the educational infrastructure.
Bihar Engineering University, established on July 27, 2022, will have a four-storey main building covering 1,11,732 square feet. It will house administrative offices, evaluation centers, and other facilities. The Bihar University of Health Sciences building, part of the state’s educational initiatives, will cover 27,567 square meters. It will include academic blocks, examination halls, and ancillary buildings like a guest house and auditorium.
The completion of these projects is crucial for advancing higher education standards in Bihar, as emphasized by the Chief Minister. The universities are part of the state’s efforts to boost technical and medical education, aligning with the broader goal of enhancing educational opportunities for students.
