Hollywood actor Chris Hemsworth, known for his role as Thor in the Marvel movies, will be reprising the character in future films following his appearance in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. Hemsworth, 42, confirmed during a podcast that his journey as Thor is not ending anytime soon, with Marvel exploring unique directions for the character.
Having portrayed Thor since 2011, Hemsworth expressed his enjoyment in working with different directors who brought diverse perspectives to the character. He highlighted the creative freedom he experienced under directors like Taika Waititi and Kenneth Branagh, allowing him to experiment with various aspects of Thor’s persona.
Despite the positive reception of his portrayal, Hemsworth acknowledged that the comedic tone of ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’, directed by Taika Waititi, received mixed reactions. The actor admitted that the film’s humor, resembling a “Monty Python sketch,” faced criticism for deviating from the traditional Thor depiction, leading to some backlash from audiences.
