Over 1,600 athletes from 36 Police and Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) organizations will participate in the 11th All India Police Judo Cluster Championship 2026 at GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, from July 23 to 30, 2026. The championship will feature competitions in Judo, Wushu, Taekwondo, Karate, and Pencak Silat.
The event, organized under the All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB), was announced at a press conference in Hyderabad. The championship aims to promote sporting excellence among Police and CAPF personnel.
Notable figures like Olympian Parupalli Kashyap and rowing coach Ismail Beg were present at the curtain raiser event. They emphasized the importance of sports in fostering discipline, teamwork, and perseverance among uniformed service personnel.
The championship holds significance as it serves as a platform for athletes to showcase their skills before the Asian Games 2026. Judo, Wushu, Taekwondo, and Karate are medal disciplines at the Asian Games, making this event crucial for talent development.
