Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokespersons Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka met with Union Minister J.P. Nadda to discuss their demands. Nadda assured them that he would address their concerns internally within the leadership.
The demands included the immediate release of Sonam Wangchuk, resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan, and a compensation of 1 crore for NEET aspirants who died by suicide. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke emphasized the need for Pradhan’s resignation and compensation for affected families.
Tensions escalated in Delhi as CJP supporters participated in the “Sansad Chalo” protest, seeking accountability for the NEET-UG paper leak. The protest encountered a light police presence as demonstrators aimed to reach Parliament House.
The protest highlighted concerns over examination irregularities, including the NEET-UG paper leak and issues with the 12th CBSE Board. Clashes between police and protesters occurred at Jantar Mantar, with security forces preventing the breach of barricades.
Heavy security measures were in place, with police deploying multiple layers of barricades to control the growing crowd. Demonstrators, including students, faced resistance as they attempted to move beyond the security barriers, leading to police intervention.
