A college student, who works part-time, reported being raped at her workplace by a friend of her employers. The incident occurred on May 11 at a momos shop in Bengaluru, where the victim worked after college. The accused, identified as Hynash, allegedly committed the crime while the shop owners were out for dinner.

The victim claimed that the accused, along with the shop owners Atul and Ghosh, had gathered for a party when the incident took place around midnight. She further alleged that the accused threatened her against approaching the police or filing a complaint. The victim has filed a complaint against the three individuals, stating that the accused was acting as a middleman in the sale of the shop.

In a separate incident, two men were arrested in Bengaluru South for sexually assaulting two orphaned girls aged 11 and 12. The abusers recorded the assaults and shared them on social media for financial gain, leading to their arrest following a tip-off from the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Additionally, five individuals were arrested in connection with the alleged drugging and gang-rape of a 19-year-old college student at a villa in Jakkur, Bengaluru.
