Congress leader Manish Tewari reiterated Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s stance on the Indus Water Treaty, emphasizing that “Blood and water can’t flow together” in response to the Pahalgam terror attack. The Ministry of External Affairs reminded Pakistan that the treaty will remain in abeyance until it stops supporting cross-border terrorism. Tewari highlighted the country’s consensus on the issue, referencing past parliamentary resolutions and actions against terrorism.

Manish Tewari supported Congress MP KC Venugopal’s call for a Supreme Court-monitored probe into alleged funds embezzlement at Ayodhya’s Ram Temple. Stressing the sanctity of the site and the sentiments of devotees, he emphasized the need for an impartial investigation. Tewari also addressed the Uniform Civil Code issue, distinguishing it from the Common Civil Code and pointing out concerns regarding its inclusivity of minorities and Scheduled Tribes.
