Amid controversy over the rejection of Congress leader Meenakshi Natarajan’s Rajya Sabha nomination in Madhya Pradesh, Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy filed a police complaint against specific social media accounts. He accused them of spreading what he termed as “malicious propaganda” against Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy. The complaint, lodged with the Central Crime Station, named ‘Telugu Scribe’ and other accounts for allegedly propagating a conspiracy by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy behind the rejection of Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination.
Congress MP Kiran Kumar Reddy urged for a thorough investigation into the matter and requested the registration of an FIR. He emphasized the need for action against ‘Telugu Scribe’, its operators, associated individuals, and political collaborators for orchestrating a “deep-rooted political conspiracy” against the Chief Minister. The complaint highlighted the alleged fabrication of electronic records, dissemination of fake news, and publication of defamatory content targeting the Chief Minister.
The Lok Sabha member from Bhuvanagiri accused certain individuals of posting on social media platforms X and Instagram, claiming that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy conspired against Meenakshi Natarajan by sharing old legal case details with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders. In a separate development, Kiran Kumar Reddy, in a press conference, alleged that the BJP and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are colluding to form an alliance. He asserted that these opposition parties are collaborating to create challenges for the Congress in Telangana.
