The Congress party unveiled its fifth list of candidates for the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, naming contenders for seven constituencies spread across the state. Among the nominees are Joseph Hasda for Gossaigaon, Birkhang Boro for Dotma (ST), and Rajat Kanti Saha for Bihpuria. Anchula Gwra Daimary will represent the party from Bhergaon, Narayan Adhikari from Mazbat, and Nirmal Langthasa from the Haflong (ST) constituency.
Amar Chand Jain has been chosen as the nominee for Katigorah. The selections were made by the Congress leadership to bolster its electoral presence in preparation for the 2026 polls.
