The Communist Party of India (CPI) has urged nations worldwide to unite for global peace and harmony as the world approaches 2026. In a New Year message, CPI Tamil Nadu State Secretary M. Veerapandian emphasized the need to end all forms of violence and promote social justice. He highlighted the significance of the International New Year celebrations in fostering unity across diverse cultures and communities.

Expressing concerns about ongoing global conflicts, Veerapandian called for an end to violence and war globally in the upcoming year. He specifically mentioned the Russia-Ukraine conflict and Israel’s actions in Gaza, urging for diplomatic solutions and lasting peace. The CPI leader also stressed the importance of upholding democratic values and secularism in India to combat the rising threat of fascism.

Veerapandian underlined the necessity of protecting the rights of all citizens and preserving India’s pluralistic ethos. He called for the unity of progressive, secular, and democratic forces to counter divisive politics and safeguard the interests of the people. Looking ahead to the Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, he appealed for a collective effort by secular and democratic forces to defeat communal and authoritarian elements and uphold social justice.

In conclusion, the CPI Tamil Nadu State Committee extended warm New Year greetings, expressing optimism for a year of peace, harmony, and progress for humanity in 2026.
