Jailed Kannada actor Darshan’s wife, Vijayalaxmi, has raised concerns about the Bengaluru Police’s alleged lack of action on her complaint against various social media accounts for posting abusive comments. Despite her efforts, the Police Commissioner has denied the allegations, stating that an investigation is ongoing. Vijayalaxmi expressed disappointment over the delay in addressing her complaint, emphasizing the importance of equal treatment under the law.
Vijayalaxmi highlighted disparities in the handling of complaints by citing another woman’s case where prompt action was taken, contrasting it with her own experience of neglect. She stressed the need for justice to be impartial and not influenced by external pressures. Vijayalaxmi reiterated her determination to pursue her complaint until it is properly addressed, urging authorities to act without bias or delay.
In response to Vijayalaxmi’s claims, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh refuted the allegations, affirming that the police operate impartially and in compliance with the law. He assured that the case was promptly registered and is being investigated at the appropriate level. Singh emphasized the police’s commitment to thorough investigations and accountability, promising action against any negligence found within the force.
Vijayalaxmi recently filed complaints against multiple social media accounts for posting offensive content, submitting evidence to the Cyber Crime Police Station and the Bengaluru Police Commissioner’s office. Despite facing abusive comments online, she remains steadfast in seeking justice and holding those responsible accountable for their actions.
