Bollywood star Deepika Padukone has broken her silence on criticism for not promoting her husband Ranveer Singh’s movie, “Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge.” She disclosed that she had watched the film before others, hitting back at online comments questioning her actions. Responding to a poll on social media, Deepika clarified that her silence was intentional, not accidental.
The actress had faced scrutiny for her absence from the movie’s special screening, which led to a debate on social media. Despite attending a concert with her husband, Deepika’s lack of public support for “Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge” drew criticism online. Users pointed out her previous social media posts on other topics, contrasting them with her silence on Ranveer Singh’s film.
Deepika Padukone had actively praised the first installment of “Dhurandhar” and Ranveer Singh’s performance on social media. However, she did not adopt the same promotional approach for the sequel. The movie, released on March 19, features Ranveer Singh and continues to perform well in theaters.
