Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, who is expecting her second child with husband Ranveer Singh, was recently seen back in Mumbai after finishing a crucial filming stint for her upcoming movie “King” alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She was spotted at the Mumbai airport early Thursday, wearing the same outfit she had on when she left India on April 28. In a video from the airport, she appeared in an oversized cobalt blue co-ord set, sporting sunglasses and bright yellow sneakers, and happily posed for the paparazzi.
Reports indicate that Deepika had been shooting in Cape Town for a significant portion of the film. Leaked behind-the-scenes footage from the sets of ‘King’ recently went viral, showing Deepika and Shah Rukh Khan filming what seemed to be a romantic song sequence in Cape Town. Despite being pregnant, Deepika has been diligently fulfilling her professional commitments, with Shah Rukh Khan being supportive and attentive on set, ensuring her comfort during the shoot.
“King,” directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand, and Mamta Anand under Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, boasts a star-studded cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, and others. This action thriller is scheduled for a theatrical release around Christmas 2026. On a personal note, Deepika and Ranveer recently shared the news of their second child through a heartwarming social media post featuring their daughter Dua holding a positive pregnancy test.
The couple, who got married in a private ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018 after a long courtship, first met on the set of the movie “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Their on-screen chemistry continued in films like “Bajirao Mastani” and “Padmaavat.”
