Accusing the AAP of politicizing a fire tragedy, the Delhi BJP criticized former Delhi Chief Minister Atishi for demonstrating at a hospital in Saket where Malviya Nagar fire survivors are being treated. Delhi BJP Spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor highlighted that both Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi, former CMs from AAP, are often away from Delhi, engaging in activities in Punjab and Goa, respectively.

Kapoor stated that Atishi’s demonstration at the hospital gate was merely for media attention, emphasizing that as a former Chief Minister, she should understand that meeting accident victims is the Chief Minister’s responsibility. He mentioned that as the Leader of Opposition, Atishi lacks the official authority to meet the fire victims, especially considering the doctors’ restrictions on AAP leaders meeting patients.

The hospital reported that 15 patients, including 13 international patients, are currently receiving treatment, with six on ventilator support showing signs of improvement. Nine patients are in the ICU and wards, all in stable condition. Additionally, two international patients brought in on the day of the fire incident were discharged on June 4. The hospital assured that all patients are recovering well under continuous medical care.
