Delhi BJP President, Harsh Malhotra, criticized the recent events in the national capital, attributing them to negative politics by opposition parties like the Aam Aadmi Party, Congress, and Communist parties. He expressed concern that these parties, facing electoral setbacks, are exploiting youth movements for political gains. Malhotra highlighted that what began as an agitation related to the NEET examination has now transformed into a political ploy orchestrated by the youth wings of opposition parties, losing its initial purpose.
The BJP leader urged the youth of the country not to be swayed by the agendas of defeated political factions but to concentrate on their education and future endeavors. Following the protests, over 70 individuals were detained, and multiple FIRs were filed by the Delhi Police due to the violent demonstrations by CJP activists and their supporters in sensitive areas like Parliament Street. The clashes resulted in injuries to around 50 law enforcement officers, according to an official statement.
Law enforcement authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and mobile recordings to identify and prosecute individuals involved in the unauthorized and disruptive protests in Parliament Street and other high-security zones. The Delhi Police are registering separate FIRs based on complaints received from various locations, as confirmed by an official source. The unrest began when supporters of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) attempted to march towards Parliament without permission, leading to confrontations with the police, who used mild force and tear gas to control the situation.
