Delhi Capitals showcased a strong bowling performance with Lungi Ngidi and T. Natarajan taking three wickets each, limiting Lucknow Super Giants to 141 runs in 18.4 overs at the Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. Lucknow Super Giants, opting to bat first, faced an early setback as skipper Rishabh Pant was run out for seven runs due to a unique caught-and-bowled chance turning into a run-out.

Mukesh Kumar’s impressive bowling start, keeping it tight during the powerplay and restricting Mitchell Marsh, set the tone for Delhi Capitals. Skipper Axar Patel’s strategic bowling further troubled the opposition, dismissing Aiden Markram. Lucknow Super Giants struggled as Ayush Badoni and Nicholas Pooran fell quickly, with Ngidi delivering a remarkable slower ball to dismiss Pooran.

Delhi Capitals maintained control as Mitchell Marsh fought through a challenging pitch, eventually falling to a misjudged shot. Debutant Mukul Choudhary showed promise but was outsmarted by Kuldeep Yadav. Abdul Samad’s resistance was in vain as Natarajan claimed his wicket, with the rest of the Lucknow Super Giants lineup collapsing quickly. Ngidi, Natarajan, and Yadav starred with the ball for Delhi Capitals, each picking crucial wickets.
