Delhi Capitals have revealed their new jersey for the upcoming 19th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL, starting March 28, 2026. The team has retained its traditional red and blue colors but with a revamped center pattern featuring a blend of blue and red stripes. This design is inspired by the fierce tiger spirit that symbolizes both the team and the city.
In a promotional video, Delhi Capitals women’s team captain Jemimah Rodrigues and men’s team skipper Axar Patel showcased the new jersey. The video, which also includes middle-order batsman Nitish Rana, highlights the team’s spirit and unity. Nitish Rana was recently acquired in the IPL 2026 Auction.
CEO of Delhi Capitals, Sunil Gupta, expressed that the jersey signifies the city’s essence and the team’s fearless approach on the field. This jersey launch campaign is unique as it features the Women’s team captain, Jemimah Rodrigues, emphasizing the team’s unified culture across genders. The team is geared up for an exciting season ahead with their blue and red tigers.
Led by T20 World Cup 2026 champion Axar Patel, Delhi Capitals boast a strong lineup including experienced Indian players like KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav, along with Australia’s top bowler Mitchell Starc. The team, which narrowly missed the playoffs last season, is determined to clinch their maiden IPL title in the upcoming season.
Delhi Capitals will kick off their campaign against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 1, as per the schedule released by the BCCI.
